Website Progress

Hi Everyone!

We are hoping the site performs much better today, we are aware of some issues with the arcade, bonding badges, and instacare that we are still working on today.  We will spend some time watching site performance before we rush to turn forums on, we know they are important to you all.  We are hoping we can turn them back on real soon, and as always, thanks for playing!

Update after the weekend – Instacare and Forums

Hi Everyone!  

Thank you for hanging in there, we hope the site is already functioning much better for you all!  The database reload is still going, through most of today.  This means site slowness is unfortunately still expected.  Instacare is a huge command, so that particular aspect has been highly affected by the reload.  

Once that is done, we will be checking the site for bugs and errors, and hopefully turning the forums back on if all goes well!  So cross your fingers everyone, we can’t wait to get the community talking again!

Update after a long night

Hey everyone! After many hours spent through the night working on the site, we are hoping it is much better today, although please remember to clear your cache and/or history if you are still getting mad kitty’s, we want to get an idea of what still needs correcting. The allowance(monthly perks, breeding/litter license, etc.) issues are a separate item that they are still working on, still hoping for this weekend though! We welcome your feedback through support.foopets.com – thanks for your patience!

We are aware that the database could take 1-2 days to reload, so site slowness is normal right now.  Instacare is a huge command, so this might not work well during this time either.   Thank you so much for your patience, feedback, and kind words of encouragement!  As always, we care about you guys and thanks for playing!

Hi FooFans. Just a quick update: we (the new ownership of FooPets) are running things now (since last Thursday), and will be announcing who we are as soon as the deal is completely done (likely another 1-2 weeks). We’ve been working 24/7, focused on improving site performance and catching up on customer support (whew!). We’re a small team, but VERY dedicated to BRINGING BACK THE LOVE FOR FOOPETS AND THE FOOPETS MEMBERS! If you want the firehose of updates, follow us on twitter (@foopets). We were up most of the night adding a new database server, and will be up again tonight hopefully completing that addition, which should make the site much faster. You may notice some downtime if you’re up super late Pacific time tonight. If the performance gets back where we think it will be, we’ll turn the forums back on. Cross all your body parts. :) WE LOVE YOU, and WE’RE LISTENING TO ALL YOUR FEEDBACK, even if we can’t personally respond to every one of you.

Update

Hi everyone!  Just wanted to update you, we appreciate your patience thus far and are working rapidly to get things fixed.  The new ownership has taken temporary custody of the site as of March 1(we cannot make an announcement yet on the new ownership, but we will as soon as we can), and since then we have been diligently working to fix bugs.  We have turned off the forums until we can get the bugs fixed to increase site functionality while we are working on it.  We care about you guys, and we are so grateful for your patience and understanding during this transition.  Thanks for playing!
